And the Frequent Visitor part is a custom title. It changes based on your posts. You can change it to whatever you want in the User CP, then going to Edit Profile.

And I have no idea what your second sentence means... Could you clairfy on that?

This is awsome my grandpa found these systems called Max3d and Miya all we have to do is buy them and transfer our work to Max or Miya which are a lot easier than scratch and also top notch companies like BLIZZARD and MICROSOFT use them for their video games. :biggrin1: Heck just check out World of WarCraft that is made on both!:biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: *pant pant pant* sorry just a little ecited hehe... :nervous:

I think you mean Maya not Miya and, yes both programs are used heavily by professional game developers and movie studios. They are also incredibly expensive. I don’t remember how much 3Ds Max goes for (around $800 I think) Maya complete however is $2000 and the unlimited version is $7000.

Well... you can get MAX a bit cheaper.

Student versions and upgrade kits! Just buy a package with an older version and a patch. It's supposed to be cheaper, but you got an extended installation time. ;)

I've only read about this, so I can't give you first-hand info about it.


Anyway, I'd suggest using a few software for now. Like Wings3d and Gimp. I'm sure you could even create a game on a professional level, using free tools only.

Ive got 3D Studio MAX 7, through, errm....contacts, and its pretty effective, i think its better for building creations, but ive seen some pretty amazing things prouced through it by people whom have more experience with it than me :p

Yes, like everything in the software world, Max is cheaper if it's the student edition. Anyways, I stumbled onto this forum from DZ's constant posting on AL about SoL.

Well I've been working on Bryce 5 (there is also a Bryce 5.5) and some on Blitz3D, BlitzPlus, and BlitzBasic (Very very confusing they won't speak english :doubtful: ) and some with Maplet (Nice 3D interior designer doesn't come with many textures though) and well i kinda got this game making stuff down (and by kinda i mean just a nibble of how to do this) i maybe (not likely) be able to help in some ways. And i need help after your done with this on an online multiplayer rpg called World of Xidus. I'm shooting for a WoWish type. And i'm going to be working on coding some mini-games for a while for practice :) k?

PS: I have a ship design i made i'll post it l8er.
