Did you know that corneria used to be earth. The subject on wether the lylat system used to be the well known Sol has been debated for quite some time. heres how it go's: The terrans (humans) made it into a golden era, where technology went through the roof. Then just as the terrans thought they would live like this forever, it happened. An all powerfull race of some sort came and nearly wiped out the terrans. The terrans escaped leaving behind only animals and some of their technology. The powerfull race, thinking they had wiped out all intellegent life on earth, went back into unknown space. Eons, and I mean, eons later, the sol system had changed due to the growing age of the sun. On earth(corneria) the animals had evolved into what you see before you, an intellegent humanoid species consisting of: fox's, wolves, frogs and various others.

The Starfox universe is a bit simple. This would really spice it up.
I'm not sure if Nintendo is willing to walk away from the simple-story action game concept.
I think the simple story was intentional, so the player can concentrate on the action. ;)

I don't know where you dug that up, because in all my years of being a Star Fox fan, and in all of the documents I've read I've never seen this before.
As a matter of fact, I read something that disputes this. In the SNES manual, it puts Lylat in a diferent part of the galaxy that our solar system: "The Lylat solar system, located near the center of the Milky Way galaxy, is made up of several bountiful planets."
Our system is closer to the edge of the galaxy.
Remember, 90% of what you read in fan fiction is made up by the person that wrote the "fic."

Well, you never know what the makers of the game are hiding. Star Fox really does have its own realm, its just not been entirely revealed. The signs of Lylat once being Sol are there, its just that the makers of the game want us to figure that out. Its their way of improving the game a little bit. Freespace for example: Not much is revealed about the shivans, but it is possible to figure out what they want and why they are destroying the terrans and vasudans.
What dabrain said is true. Star Fox has been simplified so you can concentrate on the action, but as I said before, the realm of starfox has not been completely revealed.

Animals don't spontaneously acquire the ability to process thoughts consciously.
Besides, you said yourself, you don't really know what the creators are hiding, or if they're even hiding anything to begin with. Usually, it's not so much that they're hiding anything, but that they don't require any further explanation on the smaller details of the game, so they leave it out.

There is another theory. A group of anthros are created by the terrans and are used as weapons. The anthros eventually rebelled against them and started WWIII of course. After losing to the terrans, the furs(anthros) flee earth into deep space, or something along those lines.
Two theories:
1. Terrans being wiped out, anthros give rise eons later. **star rating
2. WWIII, anthros are created by man but rebell due to lack of fairness and after losing a war, flee into space. ****star rating
I found all this infomation on some fan sites. I also got fan fiction from some of the local starfox fans.

But that still doesn't answer how our solar system "moved" trillions of light years to the middle of the galaxy.

Our system, Sol, exists oustide the center (seen here). The milky way rotates clockwise as you can see, so its quite obvious why it "moved" closer to the center. The Sun (and therefore the Earth and Solar System) may be found close to the inner rim of the Orion Arm. Does that answer your question? ;)
Actually it doesn't.

As you can see from my diagram, the planets rotate around the sun. But, in the billions of years the planets have been in existance, we've still been at around our same distance from the center.

Thats not the milky way, thats our solar system which is part of the milky way galaxy. The milky way consists of billions of star systems, thats just one your showing. Our galaxy spins clockwise, and our solar system moves with a whole buncha other systems over the course of billions of lightyears. During that same time, systems continuously move farther/closer to the center, once a system gets close to the center, it go's back out and the process starts over.

Also, according to NASA, the black hole at the center of the galaxy is incapible of pulling in stars as far out as ours.
"Eons, and I mean, eons later,"
I hope that's less that 4 billion years, because at that time the Milky way will likely cease to exsist as it will get pulvarized by the Andromeda galaxy.

And uhh...ok............
But I think our main beef with your propositions is that they're all based on fan fiction. No matter how logical or reasonable the explanations might sound, they won't mean a thing because it's simply not true. It's not their game, that's why it's FAN fiction. And on that same note, it doesn't matter because it's fan FICTION.

good theory, but highly doubt that is true.
