okay so I moved about 5 years ago, I had this poster from the original SNES starfox that was included in as a promo material in a Gamepro Magazine in 1993. Yeah, I was real little when I got it originally. My original poster got trashed when I moved and Thank God for Ebay, I was able to find an old Magazine with the promo poster inside!! I found it and now I'm happy. I'm framing it and keeping it safe for all eternity now.^_^_^_^_^_^_^

Take a look!! Sorry for the flash.

Wow, cool! How big is it?

I love the realistic look of the promo pics for the SNES Starfox. Somehow more seriuous.... Maybe Nintendo will go back to this. At least I hope so. ;)

its almost the size of a standard poster. Sideways of course. 31 inches by 20 inches. It was folded inside a magazine. Err... Foxes face is about the size of my opened hand.

Notice how none of the hands are exposed :p

This is quite a find

Neat! I agree with DaBrain's comment; the realistic look does seem more interesting.

I wonder, are those puppets or mannequins?

Wow. That's... Wow.

As to the realism, I always liked that about the SNES related stuff. Rather than illustrations, it's, like, models. And pretty realistic, too. Added to the immersion, back when you didn't need a $350 graphics card for that sort of thing. (When we got it, the SNES was about $200, IIRC) Just words like "I can't possibly tell you how horrible this tale really is, or your parents wouldn't let you read it" type stuff.

So flying the Arwing was all "Woo! I'mma flyin a space ship an shootin the baddies! Take that!"

And while I'm rambling, way back when in like preschool or first grade, we had to make a picture book. Even when I was that young, I was doing computer painting. (With something the equivelent of MSpaint, but hey, it was really cool back then.) And I did mine with StarFox. I think it was the Space Armada, cuz Armada was a cool word. Still is, actually. And Fox went in to the big... thingy with the core. And shot it. BOOM! I oughta find it and scan it in...

Welp, I found it. Time to foist my grade school horror upon you all.

Apparently, it was second grade instead of first. And it appears I used this old progam called ColorIt, judginy by the 'brushwork' and patterns.

(Also, looky! You can see me in page 3! ... Sorta.)

Haha. That's pretty good, and so is your English.

I especially like the flames in the last shot.

Nice one.

I remember drawing a lot of Starfox and Star Trek stuff in the past too. (With a lot less sense of perspektive!)

Now that I think about it, I think I made only battle pictures. :nervous:

I got an old comic I made in school somewhere in a corner... Gotta search it, but I have slight doubts I'll find it.

P.S. what's the white thing with the -4- on it? I guess it could be "page 4".

Yeah, for some reason, I stuck the page numbers in there, for the first few pages...

And as for fire? ... "Fire, fire, heh heh heh!"

It's also a nice change from AL as well, since this seems to be where DZ is.... >.> Also you know, working on a project for a StarFox game is better than what Nintendo is doing for StarFox at the moment, so that's always good. And to stay slightly on topic, I found out that staples can do poster sized prints now, so I am going to have them reprint my "Lylat Wars Sunrise" pic all blended better and stuff poster sized and have it framed. It's going to look great above my mantle I think...
