Download Bandwidth

Can you uh... unrestrict the download bandwidth? Since swooth and hlp server's keep going down this is about the only reliable place to dl fs2 stuff. But trying to dl 700mb at 20kb a sec is starting to be a excerize in futility. I've dled one iso which took about two and a half days... and the rest of my dorm is starting to get annoyed at me hogging the computer. So can you like, let stuff go through a little faster?

Actually you know on second thought, when everything else is down and doesn't work this server has been pretty reliable for dling stuff. Thanks, it's really nice to have something that you're sure is going to be up tomorrow :).

I dont think your download speed problem is on this end (but I really dont know for sure). I dont have a bandwidth limit. Some people have reported consistant downloads in excess of 450 KB/s. I am thinking that it is either the load on the server or a sluggish client connection (your university terminal) is responsible for your slower than normal download speed. It could be your distance too. This server is located in Houston, Texas. If you lived half the globe away it could affect things negatively too.
However, I will be upgrading my network in the coming weeks to gigabit which may help things a little.

wow, this forum is stuck on bright green. I have the hlp clone setting fro all areas outside my RT section but I cant change this one area, was this intentional or a bug? Later!
