FIRST IDEA (ACTUALLY THE BEST THAT MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE COME WITH): lets take this example, orbital gate is a 3d scenario not only because of the graphics but because you can move with freedom on it. But think a little on this: you always move on XZ and when needed Y but just when you stop pushing the stick you go back to XZ. But what would happen if the last movement you made were your XZ . (this cant be use on planet missions remember gravity)

think it: all the missiles are on the XZ axis the only difference is that some of them are higher than the others, but with my idea you have missiles from all the possible angles, you could have one missile from above other from below, etc. I dont know if i explain myself but if you have an enemy behind you the only thing that you would have to do is to push harder the stick for a complete turn without the need of the gauge or make movements that could only be seen on movies or cartoons. if you want to move on a 37° on XZ or ZY or XZY why not. this way missions and mltiplayer can be made a lot more interesting.

Second idea (this is just me i dont hope this one is going to be used on any future game): if you think it SFA is a combination of jet force gemini and SF64 being more SF64 but why do they dont make a SF not of missions but levels (not like SF Adventures) i mean a combination of foot, air and both. i know the idea sounds kind of stupid but if you think it SF has what is needed for such story, but once again this is just me.

i kinda get what u mean with your second post, the majority of SF games are separated into missions and i think they just wanted to keep it goin like that, perhaps they didnt even consider making full missions where u can both fly and go on foot. i dunno.

as for ur first idea, not sure wat ur on about, are you talking about being able to make sharper turns and banks?

eh sorry im abit useless :lol:

I think, in the first idea, he's saying that in space, you dont need to push a button to do a flip.

I actually think that the first point he describes is that it should move away from something like Rogue Squadron.

If I'm right about that, then Freespace is already a 360 degree space sim. -_-

Yep. In fact not using the 3 dimentionality of the game is on the list I wrote of basic mission design flaws when writing Freespace missions :)

EDWARDCR : I highly recommend getting hold of a copy of FS2_Open (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,38195.0.html) and seeing what the game can do. Then you'll be better placed to see what can be added to make the game a better Starfox experience.

well ive heard your opinion about my ideas but, i would like to know what you people would you do make star fox a better game, because no one likes a game at 100%. i can bet my soul if i say that everyone would like to modify something from each game that he or she has played. and also tell us what you think about the ideas above and everyone else ideas

what would you modify?
