I thought I would make a Multi-Player thread where you can post what time and days you are able to play, without having to send P.M.s. Gonna Reinstall FS2 after I post this.


I should be able to play Friday after 4:30 pm.

Heh, it was only a modified pof file, not the table. ;) So it counted all the stats normally. :p

hmm...FS2 Multi...it's been a long time since I played that....for a good reason too. Nobody is ever on when I am :(

Still, the days of Old Skool dogfight are something I can never forget, especially the ass kicking :D

One question: if I make a TvT mission in the similar fashion of Zanzibar, with CTF/Bomb objectives, would it be a good idea? I've had the thought milling about in my head for a bit, but am unsure if somebody would actually have use for it :P

i think it depends on what builds you use. most of us are using a retail build with the SCP source code that's specially designed for fs2net.

Uh, let me introduce myself. This was my favorite game about 5 years ago, so I'm like....damn haven't played this in a while. I put it in, find out all the crap with interplay and PAX online and find my way here, ready to play, and BAM no rooms. We should have an IRC room so people can be like hey, want to play? And then they play, not a difficult thing to set up. Whoever is incharge should look into it. Especially for us who don't have a set time to play. :yes:

Make sure you run through the info on the sticky in this thread on how to connect. But yeah, when it goes through FS2Dnet and shows you the list of servers all should be good.

It's not a fake, but it's been down for several weeks now, and it probaly went down at the moment that game was running, so the active game pages never got any updates from the server anymore and thinks the game is still running.

Yes, it should be on all the time. I will be using the FS2netD code until the original PXO code is perfected.

There is my game, i use T-20050622 , in HLP forum, and delete mv_music.vp to not get the table hacked error.
I just played with b2af 2 games.

Now I can see a server, but there are other problems. Under 0622, my ship isn't exactly working, and under the FS2Net build, I run into random crashes (including a crash right before the mission loading screen). Evophyrexy said it wouldn't work with media.vp files, so that could be the problem: my installation is retail FS2 straight from the CD, with all the options, two other builds in the directory, and the missions.vp file. Can any of those be a problem?

I also have a separate installation of FS2 running under a recent SCP release, but it shouldn't be interfering... unless there is something not working in the registry, or some such.

you misunderstood me, I said Tom's old engine build won't run with the new mediaVP's.. or do you mean tom's build with the fs2netd build?

in that case, yes, the VP's are you problem. and you will also have to create a new pilot, since TOm's build isn't compatible with the new pilot code...

Edit: ok.... this is weird.. at first my stats saved... I checked them at the point standings page, and they were updated... next I exit the game, I check score again and they're the same as before I played the mission..... Even played with the recommended build... (although that means lots of error messages :P )

Evo => I wouldn't know which of these two builds I am using; the one I was speaking of says "Kazan's 3.6 FS2Open network code", and is labelled 1.3.6 (it is the one linked to in the FAQ thread, under the name "oeb.zip").
