Rapidshare sucks. I hate having to use rapidshare, and people who try to download my game hate it too. It's a small file when packaged correctly (10 MB, so far), is it possible for me to get it hosted here?

Here is a sample of what the game is like, although both of these are out of date (this is also available on the Hard Light forums under General FreeSpace in the thread with the same title as this one, as well as download links to the files currently on rapidshare):

I'm not sure if I'm asking the right people or even the right questions, but thanks in advance for your replies.

Sorry about this, I sort of forgot about the FS-TBSG, almost immediately after I got it hosted. I am about to check to see if I still have what I put up who-knows-when, and if I do, I am going to update it to include a newer version.

I was going to create such a game! Great idea!

Wow... This game is actually... fun. :) Oh, and turn-base is really misleading. It's more like... real-time. :p Well, the one in your sig is. Is that the game? >.<

Haha no no that's not the FS-TBSG, that's not even FS!

the FS-TBSG is at http://www.game-warden.com/masterpokey

All subpaths from there are completely separate other projects

The game in my signature is currently undergoing a remake.

It didn't have anything that relates to FreeSpace, but it had lasers in space, so... XD

I'll try the TBSG one now.

As for a remake of Contested System... Cool .:)

HOLY SHIT THAT IS FUCKING AWESOME!

p.s.
That looks similar to a old TBS game that I played the demo of years ago...

:nervous: How to build a unit? I can't get past this stage (see screen attached). The "old crummy FAQ" says something about a box appearing in the bottom right corner, but I can't find it :(

That FAQ, as the name suggests, is old and crummy :-P

In the latest version drag + drop was no longer the way everything worked (it was confusing to people). What you do is click the action, then click the target (if applicable, not all actions require a target), then right click to confirm. You can also alternatively press space to confirm the action. Finally, you can press escape to cancel an action.

Just as a note, I haven't done anything with this project in about two years. If I hadn't enabled notification for this topic, you might never have gotten a reply. I'm going to leave it so it'll notify me anyway, since some people (like you) will occasionally discover this thing and be interested and then will promptly realize they have no idea how it works, and I don't want to leave them guessing.

hows this coming?

Unfortunately, it's not. I haven't done anything with it other than respond to periodic random questions from people rediscovering it, in ages.
