well, im making a mod, but i need an archive of just the engine and table files, in the appropiate folders! now since downloading a full version is long and my computer hates online installers...

well, you get the point. i cant make a mod unless i know where to put things!

and the dummy VP's included in the original HoTU install (which is no longer offered) would help... FRED2 will probably complain about them not being there.

to put it all simple: a skeletal freespace 2 install like the ones dev teams use.

We don't use a truncated version for development. We use a full FS2 install until we have enough of our own content to go stand alone.

And if you're thinking about making your own standalone I'd advise you to consider the fact that both the Starfox and BtRL teams have been at this for 2 years without managing to get enough content for a release.

Then you're buggered unless you can find someone with a full install and a CD burner. Fake VPs won't help you when the game looks for interface artwork you don't have.

time to get a new internet conection...

or some better interface artwork....

so far its just "-working title-" with "options"

progress is slow, since right after that screen it crashes.
