Here's a table I just made that replace FS2 Music with FS1 music. You need to download the warble_fs1.vp (http://xferoc2.fileplanet.com/^935823561/3dactionplanet/hlp/hosted/fsport/warble_fs1.zip) to use it.

Clicky :D (http://www.geocities.com/dickerson_dj/warble_fs.zip)

This is for people who are too lazy to make this table or who just liked the FS1 music.

Err, just renaming it won't change the music, though. You'd have to do as Cobra did, because the file names are different, as well.

IMO, FS2 music is too vocal. FS1 is more (how should i put this) orchestra-related. you can hear trumpets, and that kinda thing. I might have put the wav's in the wrong places, so test it plse, and if anything needs changing, just let me know and i'll edit it for you.

The FS1 music titles Exodus and Monolith got me in the mood to blow things up ;)

I didn't really even notice any of the FS1 music while playing. The FS2 stuff I found really memorable though. After playing A Lion at the Door, I frequently found myself humming Numbers. Joshua in particular is one of my favourite tracks from any game.

Some of the FS1 music is still stuck with me (mostly because of multiplayer; that kept me listening to March and Chaser for a long time). The Freespace 2 music is a whole lot better, however, simply because I remember it adding to the voiceless atmosphere of Derelict so much.

lol. i'm not a vocal person unless it's certain rock music or country  I'm a more "orchestra" related guy. if you listen closely, you can hear an orchestra band. listen to Exodus and you'll see what i mean ;)
