Hi! I'm DZ, Composer/arranger for the Shadows of Lylat mod. There is another composer as well, named Flamewave.

The score (at least my part of it) will consist of both arranged Star Fox music as well as original stuff.

The sample library you hear is the Garritan Personal Orchestra.

I'll drop a little clip in this thread every once in a while so you can get an idea of what you'll have behind your soundeffects when you play this mod.

It will get better, I just happen to have emule running right now so I can get truespace again (I had to reformat.) So check back later and tell me how the speed is.

OCR eh? That would be odd. I haven't gotten any of my arrangements up there. If someone arranges my work and puts it up there it would be odd yet cool at the same time...

My arrangements tend to go beyond OCR's filesize limit. I could lower the bitrates, but then it sounds crappy...

Oh well, VGMix doesn't have a filesize limit.

Anyways.....

I found generaly that all the music for the Srar Fox games was well composed and more often then not remixed easily. I actualy enjoyed most of the music. The ending theme to Star Fox 64 was boring. Probleble the most unintersting piece of music in awhile. bleh :squeeze:

I have arranged it myself, though. Twice. They're both on VGMix as WIPs. One I for sure will finish but is kind of on the back burner because of this score, and the other I screwed up while trying to make it longer so I left it a WIP.

I made a snippet of one of the songs in progress I'm working on. I had to use a crappy editor to hack off a chunk of a full render, so it somehow turned out to be an mp3-encoded .wav file, go figure. It plays fine in WinAmp, though.

Time for another Snippet of the score! You'll recognize this one if you've played Star Fox 64 or Star Fox Assault. But there is a pretty big difference between the SF games' versions and mine. ;)

I won't release Full versions of BGMs until the missions that use them are complete. That is unless they are short little event cues. It would be evil to only give y'all like 2 notes. :D

I have another Star Wolf 64 theme arrangement in the works. Methinks everyone will like it quite a bit. :naughty:

I'd have to sit down and write that kind of thing out. I've really got too much on my plate with this project, a possible SF flash movie, and my "concert" arrangements right now to be able to do that. Sorry. :(
