I don't think I can do anything like this given the nature of my internet setup (I really can't run bugger all beyond browsers and a few IMs - no IRC, no online gaming, even my anti-virus can't get through to get the latest updates) but I'd cerainly be tempted to join either this or SETI@Home... dunno which though.

Man, a work unit is gonna take forever to finish....
EDIT: I have all 3 of my active comps running it right now...

my home file server has all most finshed another WU (another 2 hours to go).
Black Wolf - whats with your internet setup? and you have to help the GWBB team beat the OCAU (they are currently leading point wise).

The Uni provides it for me (I live on campus) but I have to put in my Student number and password anytime I want to access it. Any programs without the capability to enter that won't access the net.

folding@home has a section in the connection tabe where you setup the proxy settings, you also can tell it the user name and pw to use, but there is just one tick that should slove your problems, the use IE connection settings.

Goddam, how are you finishing work units so fast Duelron? I have had 3 comps working 24/7 for 2 days now and have nothing to show for it :( . They arent shitty comps either by all means....
Oh yeah! 1 WU Done! Eat that you non-folders! Fear my folding skillz!

hehe my 1.5 ghz (under clocked, mobo's fult) Duron is only one most of the time (approx 15 hours a day) while my main computer (3200+ Athlon (2.2ghz)) has problems with completing a full WU due to how really it idles. You may not being doing them fast due to a setting that has being set, look under advance tab for the core priority, make sure it's set to slighty higher this way program that is running in the background doesn't take to much a chunk of processeing power away from Folding@home.
Axem - lol, gw fellow folder :p

Well it seems my WUs allthough taking longer to complete than yours are worth more points. I have only completed 5 and I already have more points than everyone else combined. Most of them came from the machine at my house that hosts the freespaceserver. It is a mere sempron 2400+ but it does some steady work :) .

if you have alook on the site you can find the formula that they use to work out the points that you recive for each WU, most of my WUs are from my main computer not being able to finsh them and sending them back, while these WUs still are worth points they are not worth any where the same amont. Genraly the longer a WU takes the more it is worth, a good example one of the first WUs that my server did toke about 2-3 days (only doing about 10 hours a day) ended up being worth about 350 points. recently my server has only being doing rather quick and easy WUs so they have only being worth small amounts of points. To get high points your computer only needs to be able to complete a WU faster then a 2.6 ghz p4, your sempron is most likely able to perform better then a 2.6 ghz p4 and is getting high points for it. Now if I let my main computer finsh a few WUs...

*did not realize a sempron was superior to a northwood p4*
Wow, thats cool :)

well i am still, but only on my server. My main computer doesn't have much free processing time anyway. And it looks like the other 2 people who are folding are still folding.
