Apparently something was done that was incorrect -_-

The page is pending deletion... and so soon we may have absolutely no way of speaking to an audience of people in such an area as Wikipedia.

I just think it's bologna. I did everything right when I made that page... why in the name of EVERYTHING would they delete it?

Any ideas?

Well... it might be that wikipedia people think that the shadows of lylat is just too insignificant to 'need' a separate article. If they delete the contents - decision in which people can affect - we should be able to move or if not move than make something like FreeSpace 2 total conversions or FreeSpace 2 mods page to the wiki.

I don't think, if I'm reading it correctly, that it's going to be deleted, rather just renamed/redirected. The page should still be there, just under a different name. So don't panic just yet.

I went to go look up exactly what they were redirecting it FOR, but it could be a number of things.

If all else fails, just make a back up, and try to resubmit it as "Starfox: Shadows of Lylat". ^_^

Meh. Wikipedia's full of elitists now.

They have an arbitrary "notability" standard. They claim that it needs to be in two print (AKA non-internet) sources, which is BS. Even if it meets that they delete shit.

Wikipedia sucks now.

SoL has been mentioned at least twice in print sources. And I know about one article about it.
Maybe there even were more. ;)

Who's this "they"? Wikipedia does not have a conspiracy against us. Check the page history. The redirect request was made by some random person who goes around marking "unnotable" pages. I got rid of it.

This is a case of trolling, nothing more. The Wikipedia bigwigs have much more important things to worry about than deleting a small page.

Nice to see that they haven't deleted it. I gotta say Wikipedia doesn't really like independent stuff, I have seen them reject alot of pages and things over silly stuff or they say that it isn't true. I thought it was funny that when my friend tried to add a word I said one day to their wiki dictionary section and they came back saying that it wasn't a real word, but Microsoft can come along and add a new word that is made up by them and its okay.

Wikipedia has gone from a free open source of information and thoughts for the people from the people into a place where companies try to take advantage of it and change information to make themselves look more appealing to the public. Its sad but I wouldn't be surprised that Wiki would delete the SoL page just because they don't want to confirm the information themselves and they can't take the risk that its false.

[Added note: I just got my new hard drive in, but I am sick, so hopefully I will get my main rig all back up and running in the next few days and be able to jump back into the fun.]

i checked and saw that in it. haha. It gas a good wikipedia-ish start. Just needs a history of the crew. XD
