Do you think there will be another Star Fox? There was so many endings in Command, and it made me wondering which one Nintendo will follow.
Also, how do you think it will run with the Wii? The Zapper, or the Nunchuck controller?
I know that some people here work with game making and things, and I was wondering if you would post your thoughts on the subject.
(Sorry if there is already word about another game - I'm in the UK, and we get news pretty late)

I haven't heard of another one either, and I live in the US, so we really don't know. But I am eager to play the next one as soon as it comes out.

Yeah, I just hope the old team are in it, and not Marcus and company. It wouldn't be the same, really :/

Definately. There are a few endings I saw, such as (Put in spoiler box, just incase) the ending where Dash stays on Venom and eventually starts another war that seem to have a chance of being the next game, but I personally wouldnt want the ending you referanced as the next one.
I thought I heard somewhere that none of the endings were cannon...

Exactly what I'm saying. We want Fox and Krystal to still be in the game.
I personally think that the ending
where Krystal and Fox stay together, and everyone has a celebratory feast,
is the best to start another game, but they would need to think of another bad guy, possibly Dash.

I heard a rumor..(think it was on the old Nintendo boards) that Nintendo was dissipointed with Q games, and none of the endings were canon. Cant confirm it though

It was official that the original creators of StarFox were discussing about coming together to brainstorm another title for the Wii
(its going to be a great hit everywhere in all regions, including myself and the entire US...
if it is going to be more than brainstorming)

Well this is the wikipedia article:
Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox_(series)#Star_Fox_.28Wii.29
"Star Fox (Wii)
So far, there has been mention of a Star Fox game for Wii, but there is no confirmation that such a game is currently in development. Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto has suggested the Wii Remote would work really well for controlling an Arwing, while series designer Takaya Imamura has also said he has some ideas for a sequel."
and here is another link to another article
http://kotaku.com/gaming/nintendo/miyamoto-confirms-starfox-wii-sorta-176772.php
both stories are very convincing that there will be a StarFox game for Wii

Q Games = the people who originally made Star Fox. Q Games didn't exist at the time, and many of the people at Nintendo that had worked on teh original SF games now work at Q games.
That's why I had such high hopes for SFC. Instead, they ended up trying to merge SF2 with Advance Wars. :/

Well, it doesn't look promising, but at least there is a few rumours going around. I hope they are true, though, 'cause I need more Star Fox action, much like the rest of the fans.

They're true alright, but that's not enough to mean that Star Fox Wii's gonna be brainstormed by the original creators nor does it mean we will get one, though I can't really see that not happen. When it comes, there better be more rails. Star Fox is great on rails. :)

I hope there are some on-foot missions too. That would make it even better, in my opinion.
Being in the cockpit is fun too, though ^_^

I think a new StarFox title would greatly benefit from the Wii features.
The Landmaster could really be fun to control with the wiimote and the nunchuk.
Well, I hope there will be a StarFox for the Wii. ;)

It would be so interactive, and hopefully attract more fans to the series.
I can't wait to see if this will happen.
If there is any pages on info, please post them!

I don't know anything about anything, but it makes sense that there would be a StarFox for the Wii.
There's been at least one for every Nintendo console since the series began.
So, just cross your fingers and hope.

*Crossed fingers and hopes*
There are still a few things we don't know anyway.
Like, what happened to Krystal's planet, Cerinia? That would make a good game, with a flash back at the beginning! Then you could find the culprit and he could be the bad guy?
Just a thought.

Hmmmm, that would solve the problem of having to ressurect Andross again, or creating a new "super alien" like the Aparoids. They wouldn't need to deal with the multiple enemies of Command either, maybe.
Plus, you get more of Krystal's story.
It's win-win.

I know this selling strategy...
They make the game the best looking ever, revolutionary like all of the other Star Fox titles... and take their time on making the game... and never post anything online or confirm with any interviews of a new game, so fans come pouring in to buy the game when it's finally done.
Cha-ching!

So many things could evolve from this idea. I just hope Nintendo realise it...

Actually you would think that Nintendo would look at SoL and go... Oooo yeah! Thats the direction we should take Star Fox in! I know that Star Fox as always had a certain look and feel to it but its kinda getting old. Star Fox Command was in the right direction, not sure how many steps but at least one, I think and hopefully they will keep going in the right direction but who knows what will happen.

Has anyone seen the krystal trophy in brawl yet?
(talking about fox) "however, they're relationship becomes rocky in star fox command."
Hmmm... Never said what really happened... How oddly convenient. ;d

Also the StarFox stage where you're flying through space.
Has anyone seen that particular ship or scene in any StarFox game?
Maybe it's a teaser for a new one...
Syphe D. Mar

It's a new ship, but it probably won't be included in the canon. Hope I'm proven wrong, though.

Which ship? Im usually too busy batteling. :P
In any case, I find it interesting that they returned to the old Great Fox (on Lylat Cruise, and during its skirmish with the Halbred in Subspace), yet Krystal is still on the team..Command not happen? Pre-Aparoid? Dev going crazy?

The Pleiades, the ship your are battleing on top of.

Or it could just be there for nostalgia, or something. Or maybe they just like the old one better (like me). ;)
(100th post. yay. ^_^ ) Congrats :biggrin1:

This thing is for certain: This is going to be a fucking awesome game when (NOT IF) it comes out!

Its probably gonna be like 64 (simple railway shooter) and use the Wii remote sideways.
I think it will take advantage of the Wii remote(i.e tilt remote to change arwing's direction. It probably won't pick up on anything that happened in star fox command(that game was full of so much crap!).

We had that in WarioWare with a shortened version of Star Fox (And a Fichina, although it wasn't in the original. (Fortuna in 64? Whatever, the ice one). It was a cool way to play, however, I personally found it could be hard to control at times.
Also noted in Brawl, when you call the ships, apparently, we know Panther, so it's post-Assault, yet we still have the original Great Fox, which was destroyed in Assault. <.<

I think it might be two different time periods to the stages:
One based on classic StarFox 64 in the Corneria(?) stage, and one based on Post-SFA in the Lylat Cruise stage.
And of course, Smash Brothers is about as non-canonical as you can get without destroying the universe.
Edit on 4-1-08: While we're on the subject of brawl: HOLY FILIPPING SHNIKIES OF DEATH LOOK AT THIS - Zelda (http://movies.ign.com/dor/articles/863515/legend-of-zelda-movie-trailer/videos/legendofzelda_filmtrailer_040108.html)

I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens about this. Who do you all think the bad guy will be?
Has anyone heard the rumours about a game called 'Krystal Adventures'? I know it's just rumours, but it would be a cool game. I think it would take place before Cerinia was destroyed and would probably give us more on Krystal's background. But, you wonder where it would end - when she meets Fox, or when Cerinia is finally destroyed? Maybe you would be able to see what goes on in her mind when she's in the crystal? I have so many ideas it's unbelievable. I wish I could contact Nintendo.

Actually, I was refering to the Starfox/Starwolf dogfight with the Great Fox in the background on LC.

Back to square one, eh?

I hope so because there's not exactly many good sci-fi starfighter pilot games on consoles (on the PC you can throw a rock and hit twelve).
