Freespace Bittorrent

I have checked these files against the most recent md5sums provided by MatthewPapa and everything checks to be 100%

Sero, I just tried it, and it works. Do you have a Bittorrent Client?

I tried it with the official BitTorrent client, and Bittornado. No luck.

It's downloading...barely...ETA is 45 hours, though it's fluxing...

Well it is 3.33GB. It's Freespace 1 + expansion, and Freespace 2. My max upload speed is 32KB/s. If MatthewPapa were to connect then that upload speed would be tripled maybe even quadrupled.

HOWEVER: I don't want him to connect until he gives me those checksums or it could damage his files if mine aren't 100% perfect. MATTHEWPAPA I hope you read that.

The good news is that I got the MD5SUMs from MatthewPapa. The bad news is that Freespace 2 CD2.iso and Freespace 1 CD1.iso are corrupt. Don't worry though. For those of you that have already started downloading this is easily fixed.

Keep downloading till you finish. We'll have MatthewPapa make a .torrent with all the CDs, and when you're done getting from me, just connect to his torrent, and it will fix the files that are corrupted. Also when the last person is finished, I'm going to connect to correct my files as well.

In the meantime, I'm removing the link to the .torrent so no one else can start downloading in the meantime.

Guy's we had a problem with the .torrent, but it's fixed now. All you have to do is re-download the torrent, and connect again.

i have an awesome comp teacher and i can seed these files as soon as i dl em completely.. we run off of a dual t1 setup so i think i can help with some better seeding 24/7 for probably the next couple weeks (except for computer downtime.. cant help it if someone turns the comp off)

ok now downloading files (3 gigs ugh!) should be done by saturday morning or so if lag isnt so bad.. will continue to host for a few weeks

*EDIT* being as im downloading other stuff and hopefully my comp setup should work right then it should be done.. my client dl's to my small HD then moves the dl'd stuff to my 60 gig drive.. if it works right then it should dl correctly.. if not im sorry ill adjust on monday

I am currently sharing right now. This is weird, when I last did a force re-check it said I had only downloaded 99.99% of the file. This is impossible I know because I created the torrent. File should work fine anyway, keep downloading.

But, they are ISO files, right? What do I do with them? Just burn 'em on cd?

Yes. An ISO is an image taken from a CD. Most CD burning software will burn an ISO to CD-R.

It means it is a exact duplicate of the original so that when you burn to a CD it will be just like the original CD was.
