EDIT
I checked the main page. I don't if it's legal. Anything free like that on the net gives me the creeps. I think it's BS. But don't know for sure...

# Straight–Line Matrix: [Added 24 April 2004] This is a new form of fraud that I am seeing in recent months. I have also seen these referred to as “Elevator Schemes”.
In these schemes, you are offered the opportunity to buy some valuable product for a small percentage of its usual cost, usually around 10%. These schemes are based on a list of participants, in the order that they joined the scheme. Each person pays the specified price when they join the scheme, and when so many people (usually ten) have joined the scheme, the first person gets the product being offered (it having been paid for out of the fees paid by all ten who have joined so far). When ten (or whatever the number might be more people join, then the second person gets the product. When ten more join after than, then the third person gets the product; and so on.

Though this scheme isn't based on the same sort of exponentially-growing structure as a pyramid scheme, most of the same principles apply here as to a true pyramid scheme. As with a true pyramid scheme, a straight–line matrix scheme pays off only for a small percentage of those who have joined, producing a number of people who have paid into the scheme and not yet received any payoff that grows at a much faster rate than the rate at which the number of people who have received the promised payoff grows. As with a true pyramid scheme, a straigh–line matrix will pay off quickly for those who get in the earliest, and will pay off increasingly slowly for those who join later, with the vast majority of of participants never receiving the promised benefit.

I wouldn´t touch this with a ten foot pole.
Sorry, but i value my money too much to throw it away like that. If you were hungry and needed food, or clothes to wear, i would help on the spot. But for an iPod? Forget it, mate.
Besides, i tend to distrust people that their first post on a forum is asking people for money.

In no way shape or form am i asking you for money.
There is a way to help me without using any money at all
the video professor ad and then just return the videos for a full refund including the shipping and handeling

Your custom-title almost suits you, dude. :p

Nobody should have to go through that kind of pain just to help you get a cheap IPod. Seriously, just buy one. Probably be of better quality, anyway. :)

Im not asking for anyone to go through any pain. As with the credit card, the only peopel that are gettin it are reputable sites not the free ipod site. And last time i checked a ipod was an ipod, so "probably be of better quality anyway" makes no sense what-so-ever

Not true. That's like saying a "Toyota is a Toyota."

It depends on the source, model, and whatever damage it may have incurred. Your choice, though. Do what you want.

Well when i say an ipod is an ipod i mean that they are all form the same company and they all have the same factory specs that they have to come out to. I have windows xp so that will not be a problem with me. I also dislike apple but the reason im doing thisn is because its FREE. If i had the money then i would certanly go buy something else.
I have heard about southernpride and his connection to the spamming at

Yes, I have that issue and Popular Science, being as popular as they are, probably got their facts straight. But hear me out on this, The I-Pod fad isn't all you think it is.

The I-Pod is a complete waste of money. I know because my cousin got it for his b-day and I've tried his out for a week. It is a total dissapointment, especially considering all the buzz and fad news about it. The games suck, simply put. They are boring and uninventive. The actual music storage is somewhat ludicrous. (5,000 songs?!, Who would ever KNOW that many songs?!). The device itself is extremley fragile and is prone to breakage from a 2-inch fall. The screen scratches easily and the menu system is cumbersome and uninventive. My cousin also says that it freezes up when it gets cold (as do most mp3 players), and it freezes up randomly for appearantly no reason at all.

My advice, get an MP3 player with a memory card slot with a memory card. I got both items for $50 each and i get 24 hours of music. And lets face it, It'll take a hell of a lot of listening to burn through a playlist that long. Whatever you do, Don't surrender to the fad!

Free != Bestest

And for the record, it's not free.

You'll more than likely be asked to pay shipping and handling, which will likely cost ~36.50 for UPS ground. And you have to get others to invest their own precious time, to get you, who they don't even know*, a fancy new toy.

I'd give up, if i were you.

People don't help out other people from the good of their heart. This is the 21st century. Good is dead. bitterness and mistrust reign supreme.

Hmm. Firstly, why are you complaining about too much space? As for everything else... my iPod was actually thrown out of a car window onto the road (the car was stopped), and it still works fine. It hasn't frozen once that I remember. I personally like the spinny menu thingy much more than buttons, at least for an mp3 player, but that's just personal preference. The screen does scratch easily though, but from what I've seen so do most mp3 players. And the games... well, what were you expecting? They're not supposed to be fantastic, innovative bundles of Jesus. It isn't a Gameboy.

Just out of curiosity, how many people have helped you, "out of the goodness of their hearts"? I would bet not one. And i pitty the foo that does.
Honestly dude, you can´t be that poor that you can´t afoard an iPod, not if you own a PC to post with. If you want it that bad, get a job.
I for one will never be baited by your "predicament". And i see someone changed your name for a more apropriate one, although mispelled.
I tell you what: you help ME get an iPod, and i´ll help you get an iPod after. Deal?

MasterBater, I suggest that before demanding stuff of other people, you give some of what you have to offer first. You won't be able to go through with this unless you find someone who is nieve enough to trust someone they just met over the net. I suggest asking your family and friends before turning to an online community in which you so recently joined.

Now you see, the only thing that I want to help you out with, when you type words such as "some1" and "any1" - which by the by - aren't words, is point you to www.dictionary.com so you can learn how not to piss me off by being utterly catastrophic in an area that you've chosen to surround yourself with.

Last tiem i checked it was spelling not grammer. And anyway its fucking online chatting there is something called shorthand just to let yall know. Another thing, im not askin anyone to "trust" me, im just asking them to fill out an online offer that has really nothing to do with trust.

Ransom Arceihn

On instant messaging 'short hand' makes sense, but on these forums you have all the time in the world to write your post.

Nuclear
04-20-2005, 02:10 AM
I don't use shorthand even on IM. I always take the time I need to fill out and completely and correctly spell out all of my words.

Please, use a spell-checker on forums. Not doing so will label as you in the typical "12-year-old OMGWTFBBQ AOLer".
