new release

there is now a new release of desktop freespace (V1.60) available here:
www.game-warden.com/desktopfs (thanks again to game warden)
the new release includes a debris system so maras dont just disappear when you shoot them.
the reason for the delay in the 1.75 release is due to constant troubles in storing values for the highscore system (values store as values, strings store as values :mad: )

For a mindless little shooting game, it's actually quite creative and enjoyable. :)

Now add capital ships with near-impossible to avoid beam weapons (for the beams, just use a really long, blue-colored object).

caps arent going to be possible atm, but i have added screen scrolling with a larger arena and explosions to accompany the debris. Be sure to check out the 'pictures needed' thread.
