Hey,
I just registered to be around here. I was totally stunned by what you're wanting to do - and I'm quite willing to help you.
I've read on your website that you may be in need of texturers, so I guess I could try that.

I'm actually learning modelling using Rhino3D ATM, but I guess that wouldn't help too much (my best model yet: Star Fox: Assault-Arwing (http://www.geocities.com/saiccen/arwing.jpg)). But I'm an enthusiastic graphics' "artist", so maybe I can help?

Oooh nice. Always good to get another person in. Got any texturing examples of your work? Just so we can see where we can fit you in.

Hi, there. ;)

It would be great to get another texturer. I think we really need them. We got a lot of untextured models and Axem keeps creating new models. ;)
Well, the only thing to stop him was a defect hard disk. ;)

So, yes we're very interested in getting help. Would you mind giving me a sample of your work?

I can give you a task right away too. :)

I'm not on the team but if they get you to model as well as texture you should find this (http://www.brainzipper.com/fs2/rhino_fs2/) rather useful.

Nice model BTW

Well, I have no examples available yet - to be honest, I haven't actually done much texturing yet... but I owe Micrografx Picture Publisher (not on par Photoshop anymore, but I'm still QUITE satisfied with it) and I guess I can say that I'm really good with it.
The problem is that there is not much work I could show you now, for I have concentrated on Star Wars-effects about the last months/years... so I could only show you tons of neat lightsaber-pictures *g*

Would be best if you asked for an example texture I could create. And, well... what do you expect your textures to be like? I guess, for terrain/etc. textures, it will be important that they are seamless... but most important will be the detail. How great the different textures are supposed to be 'n stuff like that.

I'm not on the team but if they get you to model as well as texture you should find this rather useful.
That, Mister, was quite some gold nut.

Nice model BTW [...] The model is really nice.
Thanks. :nervous:

P.S.: I could also try to enhance your interface to become more starfoxy?

I think DaBrain can answer most of those questions. His area of expertise is in textures and effects. I think he has some untextured ship and uv map that he could send you to try texturing.

But hey, you can do effects? Like laser bolts and stuff? I think DaBrain could use some help on those.

And for interface art, that'd be really handy, especially if this is going to be a stand alone mod. But FS2's interface art is quite challenging to modify from what I understand.

Well, I still need to work out this whole wrapping thing and stuff like that... and I don't know much about Freespace 2 yet (just downloaded yesterday, but didn't play yet).. but I guess I will be able to cope with that. ^^
