We have been busy with optimizing our game content and adding new features this month.
The next thing we'll have to take a look at is the multiplayer mode. Multiplayer missions, balancing and additional multiplayer features.
Which multiplayer game modes do are you looking forward to in Shadows of Lylat?

I like Team Deathmatch because you can have a team to help you. ^^
I'm keen on making our totally fresh TvT experieance, DaBrain :D

I voted for cooperative missions, even if I probably wouldn't be able to play SoL online due to my slow connection. This may hopefully change in the future, I hope.
Well, cooperation is cooperation. Online tends to focus on rivarly, but I find coop missions interesting and worth a lot of attention. TvT missions tend to be balanced to give each team a chance, but coop missions may be incredibly various under under many points of view. :)

It will be interesting to see how the multiplayer game ends up with SoL. With TBP for instance it ended up with very few TvT or dogfight missions being played cause everyone preferred coop.

I always like coop :)
I don't know much about the starfox universe, but are there are capital ships or bases as well?
If yes, then i would like to see BaseWar Missions, were the teams wins which can destroy the enemy base/fleet at first :).
Attack & defend missions (or objective based team versus team missions in general) are interesting as well :)
Also i think it is interesting to have different deathmatch modes in it. Like zombie, infection et cetera *g*

Starfox deathmatch as I remember it wasn't very good...
Oh.. nobody is interested in some fast-paced, good old deathmatches?
Well it's always nice to have those :D
When you say "team mission," do you mean team mission against the computer, or team mission like "Assault" in Unreal?

team death match is always the best. you can get help from your team mates even you are almost dead.

I would say co-op missions. Along with the usual things like deathmatch and stuff like that.

You know, right after I posted that, I just realized that would set us all up for some really bad vibes as people got put on the thread over time.
Not everbody hates the same trolls. And some people dont like people who are not trolls. They just dont like em cause they dont get along.
Nevermind. Bad idea.

i voted coop because i love missions ... especially when i can go others on their nerves when they do smth wrong xP
the normal 1 vs 1 deathmatch is boring.
others like 1 vs 1 vs one deathmatch is really funny... but i had to decide between them =/

Team vs Team or Dogfights are the choices for me; never liked coop

I'm not on the team (obviously) but due to the way that FS2_Open works, multiplayer betas are just as hard, if not harder, to produce.

TvT quickly turns into a few good players beating the crap outta everyone else.
Coop with good rewards always seems to do better,

i agree with blue lion ;D
and anything involving this game is going to be difficult xD, i didnt expect a total conversion to be easy in the first place

I voted Special, although I'd also like TvT, i.e. Star Fox vs. Star Wolf, 4v4 :D

The fancier modes are nice, but there's just something about the ins and outs of a good ol' fashioned dog fight that's hard to beat.

Looks like I'm the late-reply, if only because I haven't been on this forum for months.
Seriously, I Try. >.<
In any case, I love co-op personally. However, there's something about a team deathmatch that is more entertaining to me. You aren't following a mission script, and your opponent can be just as ingenious or clever as you can be.

Okay well I voted co-op because me and my friends would love to do the missions together. Something for the developers to keep in mind when working on the Multi-player is replayibility, you want to make something that can go on for hours and not get boring. as much as you could love a franchise or game after awhile most games get repetitive and boring when it comes to SP (although SF64 is long and fun every time) but MP is where a game can shine when it comes to replayibility. my suggestion is do everything that works well even if it sacrifices time, in the end you come out with a stronger game with alot more to offer. I’d say you focus on the co-op story giving the player options like ships/ characters with unique and different dialogue interactions in the story, different ways to approach bosses and missions that squad A.I can't perform. Then work on the simple online modes like team death match, than free for all, etc.
one mode that would be cool is a mode that could be called "star fox vs. star wolf". you could take that awesome model of the great fox that you guys have in the trailer, put two of them in the same map, mod one to be like black and red or something and have different decals to be the great wolf. The mode could be like Star Wars battlefront 2 or Battlefield 2142 where you have two capital ships and you have to destroy your enemies capital ship while defending your own. they can have hanger bays for health. Now you could have something like sector Z in star fox 64. Have the ship fly into a dark hanger and disappear, then the player could be given an option like "right click to use a turret" be it a main cannon or an anti aircraft and it wouldn't have to have ground gamplay inside the ship to get to a turret it would just be cycle through the turrets with your mouse wheel. it'd be just going from exterior of the ship to first person turret Something like this allows you to talk strategy with your team mates about who is going to do what for defense and offense. Objective based game play helps keep the game different and fun every time. For ground games you could have two bases with AA turrets and both teams are at each other to blow up the bases and win.
idk whatever happens I'm sure you all know what will make the game's multiplayer great :)
