I know it's late but I just came back from a party with friends and I'm not sleepy (not da' character! XD) yet, so...

I don't draw tails on my characters because I always forgot to do it when I started drawing, I couldn't draw them nicely either anyway... So I "found" that my characters in my story had some kind of genetic mutation that made them loose their tails long ago! :P Yeah, cheezy I know! XD

Quite. But one detail does not ruin anything. And since they are anthropomorphic, they're animal sides can go however far the artist, or writer, chooses.

Since you said it was all right to discuss style: Why does the bird have a chin? There was something that I thought was a little wierd the first time I saw your illustration, and I figured out that that's what it was: chin.

It's actually a pretty common practice to have your background lighted differently than your foreground. When you do photography where you want the person to stand out from his/her background, you want shadows on the person but different shadows on the background that will highlight and pop the person out of the background. That is if you are going for that effect. There are alot of different styles in doing lighting, all depends on what effect you are going for.

In this case the background isn't important so it can be out of focus and different lighting because its really just there to say hey its winter season.

I actually don't think that is too weird but at the same time while modeling the face this characteristic may change depending on how well it works with the animation of the facial expressions.

This is true but one thing to notice about those Windwaker race as well is the fact that they had a humanoid mouth. It was only their nose that was like a beak.

at first it was half Portuguese and half spanish, if i recall correctly.
but i never pay much attention on history classes, so i most likely don't recll correctly.

Thought it was not the actual borders because at first there was that treaty which I don't remember the name aknowledged by the Pope that separated the World in 2 parts, and the left of it was the Spanish empire and at the right, Portuguese empire.
Also, Brasil comes from the tree "Pão Brasil" which was at first the main thing the colonist would take there.

Above everything else, I have work, a lot of it and I'm truely sorry, but its priority index is far greater than SoL. After that, if you wish to have some ugly doodles on a daily basis you can watch my DeviantART gall... huh... oh yeah, I don't even have the time to doodle! ¬¬

Anyway, this thread is official then stickified because I'm a member of the SOL Team. Thus, I'm not responsible of the fact that other threads should be as well but aren't.

I haven't checked but I believed the official screenshots thread hasn't been -officialy- updated for months too, and no one rants like you did!

Now, as said before, if you can handle my computer science project, my R&D project, my embedded electronics project and my interdisciplinary project, all for school, plus the exams and labs session reports, oh and go to work at my internship too, then I'll have the time to update that thread soon!
