View Full Version : Questions about : Pigma other StafWolf Orgins

This doesn't have much to do with SOL but it could...
I was watching videos of SF:Assault , and watched the video of Apariod Pigma (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JU_tzN_NwI).
Now what what made question marks pop above my head was how he managed to survive outside his ship (because fully turning into a Mecha-Aparoid.) I blew it off and thought it might of just been the fact he was infested with Aparoid.
Looked up at Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wolf_(Star_Fox)#Star_Wolf_Team), no info...
Then I read some of the old 90 Nintendo Power Comics.
it stated that Andross was the top scientists for the Cornerian Army, in which one of the things he made that was disapprove of was Polo Pigs (http://arwinglanding.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=40) , that look like Robotic Humanoid Pigs (http://arwinglanding.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=54).
So is Pigma a Polo Pig/robot (http://arwinglanding.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=57)??
So the theory is : Andross created Pigma (before his 'skin' was created/ attached I'm guess), he was kinda like ROB64 for James' StarFox team perhaps? Or the Mechanic? When General Pepper banned Andross to Vemon, we can guess the Cornerian Army just kept his old experiments and used them for ther own purposes ( thus how Pigma managed to accompany old StarFox team) My guess is that Pigma offered to help even, suggesting he might have known where Andross was being his old servant and all, but was secretly still loyal to Andross, and tricked the old Starfox team, killing James. Could of though himself as a brother (http://arwinglanding.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=79) of Andross , kinda? He wasn't the only Pignoid though, but he was the one Andross, trusted, a big mistake sence most of Androsses 'machines' have flaws, Herbert ( another Pignoid from the comic) cared to much, Pigma was made to not care at all (and became more or less self-aware and greedy.)
I was wondering what was wrong with his eyes on the N64 version, they were so blank and white, not really 'alive' and kinda mechanic if I may add... simply to say, they were nothing like the other characters eyes that were 'animals'.

I think there's a Starfox wiki.
I don't think he's a robot, the whole 'alive in space' thing is simply due to Nintendo's f***ed up logic book.

You have an interesting point / theory. it makes alot of sense. i could actually go with that story

I think the old Nintendo Power Star Fox Comic are non-canon (everything that happened is irrelevant to the story) but what I do know is that venom was full of primitive lizards and once Andross was exiled to venom, he was able to claim control over the lizards and use them as his army for later attacks against corneria ect, which also could show where leon could of came from.

Well that just furthers my point... kinda
Creators of Assuult didn't really do barely any research of any Starfox game up til DinosaurPlanet
1- I mean, Wolf was the same age as Fox on n64, and suddenly he's almost 5 years older in Assault..
2- Kyrstal has NEVER had any training to fly and Arwing. So why the heck did they have peppy retire and replaced with some random chick from a game that should have ended up a non-canon, flying an arwing "that takes years of training " kinda random reason to have her flying one.
Alot of stuff in command and assault don't make much since but eh.

How long was he out there? You would survive about a ninety seconds, you wouldn't explode, you would remain conscious for about ten seconds. (http://www.geoffreylandis.com/vacuum.html)
in Star Fox it seems they aren't too afraid of the vacum of space because they don't wear helmets in their ArWings.

I have an idea, and it kind of relates to Avatar in the fact that the atmosphere of another planet would kill you instantly if you were to breath it. This is the reason why we cannot live on another planet and we some how hope that another planet can have the same exact composition as our planet. It's Science fiction of course who cares if the planet doesn't have the right mixture of air, bacteria, and viruses lets just put the character on that planet and say it does.:confused1

Don't you need water and oxygen in in order for some species to exist in the first place?
I wouldn't doubt if there was life on another plant that had similar requirements to humans, or even a different species of 'human' that just evolved differently.
(say like... how Dire Wolfs and Dogs are the same species of Canine, but due to natural section, and other factors they are two different "beast" and one couldn't survive well in the others inviroment/'planet'. )
Dog (say like pug) would just die without human care in theory
Direwolf wouldn't make fine pet for human due to size and undomesticated ways, natural section, (unless its broken in breeding/ 'evolution'.)

I wonder why we call the big dogs and the little dogs the same species because there is a clear difference between the two but we still categorize them as Dogs as if they are the same species. I understand that there is different categories of dogs but why do we categorize big dogs and little dogs as the same species. We clearly catagorize Wolfs as a different species from dogs but why do we do that when we don't categorize the two sizes of dogs as a different species.
The same goes with Chickens, Cattle, and any other animal you eat for food. Why do we categorize chickens that grow within 40 days and are given hormones the same as the wild chickens that take 4 months to grow and are not given any hormones. On top of that the chickens that grow within 40 days can't breed without being artificially inseminated because their breast is too big for them to do it naturally. I don't even want to get into domesticated cattle vs. wild cattle because it will make you think twice about eating a McDonald's Big Mac.
All the facts from the section above come from the movie Food Inc.

Well, you might as well ask why tall people and short people, or Chinese people or Spanish people aren't different species. But if you want a definition, here it is.
--Warning: Science ahead!--
Species: "A common definition is that of a group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring of both genders, and separated from other such groups with which interbreeding does not (normally) happen. Other definitions may focus on similarity of DNA or morphology."

I understand perfectly but I have always wondered especially since it is physically impossible for a little dog to breed with a big dog. In the end though they are the same species and we messed them up. Blindness, deafness, short lifespan, are all caused by us inbreeding the different types of dogs. But are wolfs similar enough to dogs to inbreed or is it impossible. That is a question that may never be answered since wolves are very territorial, and would likely kill a dog if it got close. And if it was possible then would the hybrid be unable to breed. If it is then why do we consider dogs and Wolves different species. I've got many questions about these things after taking contemporary biology in college, but it is not necessary for them to be answered.
Here is another question for you.
If it were possible for Wolves and Foxes to walk on two feet the structure of their bodies would be similar but different from how we stand upright. If the Lylat system did exist then how did their body structures evolve in that system? This kind of goes with the topic of this thread.

sacrificabominat even went into the fact about animals for food. Remember all Humans are also apart of the Animal Kingdom. Sadly to say humans have even been known to eat other humans.
Along with Scourge of Ages's thought, some people even consider Human Males and Females to be different species.
So some times it is hard to understand, though I always thought of Wolfs as the Cousins of Dogs and breed able. Just like how you can do the same with Zebras and Horses. Considered a different species but still able to breed. So it truly does matter what you consider different species. Science just doesn't always have the obvious answer to alot of questions..

The truth about science is that it is all theories to a certain extent. Most theories are dis proven within a few years but some last for ages like the Theory of evolution. But the theory of evolution has changed since it was introduce. It used to be that we evolved from monkeys, but now it is we evolved from an ancestor of monkeys. I love science because nothing is absolute in it, and that makes it very unpredictable. In an earlier post I mentioned that humans want to find another inhabitable planet, but usually ignore that the viruses the air composition and natural resources are very different. In the end I find the search for life in the universe very meaningless since we can't even make contact with the other lifeforms without both sides dying from the conditions that they introduce.

As for chihuahua+ great dane, ARTIFICIAL YOU-KNOW-WHAT!
I once saw on Animal Planet (which, btw, SUCKS nowadays) about a dog who was born without it's front legs, it's chest structure had changed to allow it to be bipedal.
Makes me wonder.
I Wonder what the end result would be if you had a person... and a wolf. USE YOUR DAMNED IMAGINATION!
Yes, it would probably die, but I wonder if you could use some kind of genetics to keep it alive or modify it.

Genetic engineering how far will humanity go before it is not considered human anymore? a few years maybe a century?
I also heard about the dog born without two front legs, and I really liked the story but the dog can't possibly stay on both hind legs for long periods of time because the structure of the canine hip is not built to support it. From a fitness point of view the dog is technically unfit. Fitness is the ability to reproduce.

Viruses and other pathogens would not be a concern, unless there is an equal concern of introducing similar viruses to deep-sea creatures.

I disagree the evo theory myself, but when it comes to animals, there are some evolutionary things involved. Like where did all the dinosaurs go? This also sparks a topic where all the animals of lylat could of evolved from. Dinosaur planet? What if its actually the most important planet in the lylat system? The origins of all anthros. Yah, go develop a theory of lylat or something [:

The Theory of Evolution is not absolute, but it is highly used by the scientific community. The major flaw of the Theory of Evolution is that there is no explanation for the origin of species, and in another sense the origin of anthros. I've seen both side and Intelligent Design as Ben Stein put it is viable too because there is no way to explain the origin of species since no one existed back then. To explain the origin or theory of Lylat would be impossible as well. Figuratively speaking.

Actually, I saw that they created... I think it was acids. Maybe bacteria, by using energy reactions. Or something like that. Bottom line is that they may've found an explanation of the creation of life. Now, where did the universe come from? That's a different can o' worms.
And anthros wouldn't have evolved in any way. It's just Nintendo people. They've NO common sense.

Isn't the whole story of Andross and the monkeys trying to take over Lylat is b/c Andross though he was the superior race/species? Monkeys are considered the smartest type of animal because they are the closest to humans (sarcasm) but the other animal types have more burly power than brain power, therefore Andross was defeated.

NOW, it is an old game that people either have in their aging 64 collection, or downloaded onto their wii.

I second that notion. 64 was (i believe) the very first video game to have real time diologue that didn't sound like complete and total crap. as well the quotes from ALL the starfox games are pretty funny in a way.

I know about all that dude. I've been browsing the internet since you were born. (or almost)
But yet again, you pull the things out of their context. The quotes fit perfectly well with the ambiant of the game, by their tone, by their dubbing, by their content, in the precise context when they are said.
Of course you can do whatever with them after, this VG cat thing, but someone also made a really good parody in a restaurant with it. So, it can be whatever you want, but in the first place, they are GOOD quotes for an EXCELLENT game. Thats all.

So how old are you?
And I still retain my opinions. I think they're a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of bacon cheese fries and cheese-and-crackers appetizer with cheese cake for dessert.
And congradulations, you've won. For I am too tired to further run in the special olympics.

Go look up taipan on wikipedia, and try not to be scared so much you won't go to Australia, is nice place.
And you're gonna tell me you forgot the 'special olympics' joke that YOU, Marek, have used multiple times?
And it's not weird. Besides you, I've made 3 friends on here by being interested in them.

I think there's a Starfox wiki.
I don't think he's a robot, the whole 'alive in space' thing is simply due to Nintendo's f***ed up logic book.
Look! Mario can run, jump, and even fly through the vacuum of space and not die despite the fact that there's no oxygen.
F**KED UP LOGIC BOOK!? THERE'S NO LOGIC IN NINTENDO'S WORLD AT ALL!

Well that just furthers my point... kinda
Assaults either a year or 7 years..........yeah 7 years after Adventures so im sure she'd have trainning in some kind of Ship'o death that is the Arwing.
(Horray for me by posting in a thread argument :D )

@ Sgt Hawk, it's a year from adventures to assault and seven from 64 to adventures, that is just fault of nintendo's screwed up logic xD

I believe Pigma is a fat hog who will do anything to make a profit.
I think Star Wolf was a team that originally worked for Andross but now has their own agenda and does whatever the f**k they want.
