Flaming Cobra

Hasn't beat Gradius III
We haven't seen Fortuna in very many Star Fox games, and we really don't know that much about it. We saw it in Star Fox 1 & 2, but those were retconned. In Star Fox Assault, we flew through an enemy base to confront Andrew.

It's truly a wonder why it didn't appear in Lylat Wars. With all its natural resources, it's strange that it hadn't been colonized by the Cornarians, and it's even stranger that Andross didn't build a base there. Something about the planet must be hostile.

Since it wasn't in Lylat Wars, it wasn't in the instruction book either so we don't know its class, radius, gravity, escape velocity, average temperature, or the composition of its atmosphere. Or anything else about it, except that it's the jungle planet.
Actually I take that back, we DO know that it's atmosphere contains oxygen, otherwise fox wouldn't have jumped out of his Arwing and collected the core memory.

I'd like to hear your theories as to what makes Fortuna so hostile. (well from any of you that still come here)

My theory is that the planet is home to many large carnivorous plants.

I am willing to bet money that I am about to give the best answer that you will ever get on this subject.

Nintendo has screwed logic and how-to-please-fans books.

Fortuna is a relatively unimportant planet, so Nintendo, how-to-please book in hand, decided to give almost no information about the planet. Also, the first level of Assault was pretty unimportant except for the aparoid encounter of course, so when they needed a disposable planet to use as a setting, they pulled Fortuna out of their asses.

I wonder if it'll be in SoL.

There have only been 6 games in all so I doubt any planet is as important as the 2 i mean 3 no 4 planets that were featured as main bases for the games. Corneria, Venom, Sauria (Don't know how this one is important but who cares.), and Aparoid home world (R.I.P.) are the only truly featured planets in the whole series. What about Fortuna, Titania, Sector X,Y,Z, etc. They are not as important as the aforementioned 4 for the plot unfortunately. Maybe Fortuna will be important in the next disastrous pile of scat that is the next Star Fox game licensed by Nintendo. Thank God I have fan games to look forward to.

Fortuna slipped out of the space-time continuum, past the logic core, and into a large, supernovic Plot Hole.

AKA the developers were too lazy to use it.

Oh my god. When a character in a video game breaks down the fourth wall, he breaks the barrier connecting the video game universe and the real world. This can be done by speaking to the player, acknowledging that it is a video game, or by various other ways.

no. i did. i've been using that reference for two years now. because i have original characters and i role play. me and my friends joke about what would happen if our characters broke that wall. it would be living hell as i torture my characters and they would most likely murder me XD

Don't you jinx it, YOU HEAR ME!?

And wut's dah forth waal?

If I jinxed it I would say the next Star Fox game licensed by Nintendo would be the best game, but if I call it a pile of dung instead the negative flow coming from me will cause the space time continuum to explode. And out from aftermath comes a camera that makes you believe Miyamoto is watching you, and then you'll worship him for creating the best Star Fox game in the universe. Unfortunately playing the game causes your head to explode, but it will be totally worth it.:confused1

Fortuna is one of the various gems of the StarFox series:

It is mostly unexplored and has a lot of backstory which hasn't been elaborated on.

Many of the planets lack true in-depth study and information, which gives a lot of breathing room for anyone to pick of the creative spirit and get to work.

I hope it does return, as I'd like to see something a little more than a Cornerian Military base (which was quite oddly placed around such a seemingly non-hostile area... especially area which "should" be outside Cornerian jurisdiction).

LOL it's not THAT kind of role playing. we get bored in class and start drawing. i meant that kind of role play XD not Dungeons and Dragons... although i have been meaning to try that some time...

How's that role playing?

DON'T DO IT, IT'LL CONSUME YOUR DAILY LIFE! I used to have a friend who got into that, now his mother describes him as a hermit.
When I get bored, I hunt... a lot. O' course I'm seperated from my peers for over 95% of the time.

it is kind of. because we chose which of our characters to use. but in our type of role playing there isn't a specific goal. it's just for laughs :biggrin1:

My topic got derailed. Now my topic is about roll-playing instead of giant carnivorous plants that eat furries. :(

DAMNIT, I SAID LET THIS PIECE A' CRAP THREAD REST IN PEACE!!!

And they're not furries! They're just anthro characters. If they were furries, they'd be scantily clad, and constantly make suggestive statements... ok so Krystal's a furry but the rest are not.

NOW LET THIS THREAD DIE!

No. My thread!

Slippy's not a furry because he doesn't have hair. He's a slimy.

Falco has feathers not fur. Dur. Lol. I r smrt. :P
