Is still here? Just kidding.
Who else likes the Star Fox Adventures Arwing better than the Star Fox Assault Arwing?
I like the barrel roll better and the boost and I especially think Adventures' bomb explosion is better.

I do admit the Adventures arwing does have more detail, but more detail doesn't mean that it looks good. In fact the arwing in adventures looks worn makes me think it went through a lot in the 9 years between 64 and adventures. I do like the control scheme better in adventures because it is almost an exact replica of 64 where as assault was very stiff and slow. The fact that the barrel roll in adventures is identical to 64 makes me like it more. I also agree that the bomb was better too, but 64 still ranks as my favorite especially since you can use the charge shot. There is only a few things about the adventures Arwing setup that I hate, and one of the major reasons I hate it is because the laser is too slow. Metacritic gives assault a lower score than adventures and I stand by that because assault was too short with no lasting value. Adventures was at least a decent Zelda clone that wasn't too awkward like assault was for its genera. I stand by the same choice when it comes to the arwing battles. Even though adventures had only a little amount of arwing usage those segments were very sweet especially the final battle with Andross which practically made me drool because of how similar it was to 64.

I loved the 64 and assault versions of the arwing the best. The assault flight was weird but nice. The adventures arwing is alright, but it didn't have that "sharp" look of the 64 arwing. But overall my favorite arwing is the ssbb lylat cruise arwing. It has the texturing of the assault arwing, but shape of the 64 arwing. The snes arwing is okay, but it looks like scrap metal patched togeather. The adventures arwing did Handel great too. In assault I liked the idea of being able to fly far left and right through levels, it kinda gave the idea rail shoot ing wasn't noticable(the first level anyway)
this post I did was weird, I'll edit it because I'm using a itouch right now

Well I wasn't really comparing it to SF64, which is the king.
Yeah I don't like the worn look of the Adventures Arwing either.
But the barrel roll in Adventures was almost exactly like it was in SF64 and his this nice sound to it. In assault the Arwing has this green stuff coming out when it does a barrel roll. There is like no sound when it does a barrel roll and it doesn't really seem to do anything.
The bomb in Adventures had a really nice explosion to it, but no where near as nice as in SF64. But it was WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY better than the explosion in Assault.
The boost in Assault was............... strange......... at best. The boost in Adventures was way better.
One thing I don't get. How can the Arwing land in Assault if it doesn't have landing gear? The Arwing in Adventures has landing gear. In assault it just kind of..... sits there. There's nothing supporting it; there's nothing to hold it up. It defies the laws of gravity. It's really odd.
EDIT: And in SFAdv you could barrel roll with both L and R. In SFAst you could only use L and it just barrel rolled in the last direction you were turning it it was weird as hell.

The boost may have been strange tot get used to, but it was much nicer than having to hold the stupid button all the time.
Defying the laws of gravity? COME ON you have to be pretty blind to not notice that the arwing has GRAVITY DIFFUSION SYSTEMS and you can see that they ARE active when you land the arwing.
The bombs in assault were awkward i'll give you that.
the barrel rolls? really? does it matter what direction you barrel roll in? you'll get the same result -.-;

Well.... SFAst's barrel roll was still weird with the green stuff.
And anyway it still looks strange with it just sitting there and having nothing to support it. It still looks as if it should fall over.

In like, all of the Rogue Squadron games the aircraft just floated in the hangars. You're making a mountain outta a mole hill man.

Well what's the point in doing it right in one game and doing it wrong in another?

I just want to say that the assault barrel rolls were the only barrel rolls that made sense k? The Assaultwings had green stuff come out because it made a shield that reflected the lazers. If you were to barrel roll in adventures in real life you would die a brain damage. Also, how could you maintain flight and know where you are going when you are spinning that fast? Lets not get started with commandrolls...
I think the smart bombs in ssbb look the best.
Has anyone ever noticed that the Assault Smart Bombs explosion looks like the explosions in 64? lol

We're not even talking about SSBB.
Assault Bomb explosions look NOTHING like explosions in 64.

judging by the fact that the battles take place in space the barrel roll would not have that great of an affect on the pilot since their is no acting gravity from nearby planets. Though if the battle was on a planet I would say "What the heck?"

Well, what about when I do barrel rolls in the Corneria mission in 64 and all the other non-space missions?

Umm they have g-diffusers so its kinda like they have there own anti-gravity bubbles around them. Or something like that. Why not just ask digital Biscuit? lol

In a roll at that speed, without "inertial dampeners" of some sort, the blood in your body would be sucked away from the center of mass so fast that your brain would hemorrhage and you would die. But of course that assumes that you're following logic again.

Ok lets move away from logic then. If I were piloting an arwing the barrel roll would be the most beneficial maneuver to have, and vomiting might be a side effect of using it. It's a fictional series even though I'd like to see some improvement in many other areas besides the arwing it won't be a lasting impression on me if Star Fox pulls a Sonic and adds millions of characters/ships to waste my valuable time. The thing about the Star Fox is that the arwing is the most important avatar, not Fox, Falco, Peppy, Slippy, or Krystal. Now the arwing is undoubtedly different in each game because of the setup of the game. The original was slower than 64 while Adventures was similar to 64 and assault was what I consider the dunce because of the lackluster control scheme. Now I haven't played Command so I don't know how that arwing is set up, and if you think I'm not a fan of assault you are wrong. I consider it the dunce because it is the slowest of the arwings, the boost does not stop when you tell it to, the do a barrel roll maneuver is only equipped on one button, and the BOMBS SUCK. I rest my case.

Boost was annoying to use, you had to press it a second time to make it stop..
and the assault Barrel roll Sucked.

I say that command does have some great air battles, way more uptight than assault. But the fact that EVERYTHING revolved around barrel rolling is stupid. Logically the assault barrel rolls were the most "believable" and the adventures rolls were like "ZING!" and you probably slam your head on the side of the ship. LOGGIICCAAALLLLYYYYYY.
The thing that really sucked in assault was you could barrel roll when u-turning or somersaulting.
