A small electrical engineering project of 2007 at the Cornel University (Ithaca, NY) featuring Starfox (Star Wing in Europe), the original one released on SNES.

... Ok, it's not really finished, but well... GG to these guys! That's what I call game developping! :D
(Maybe it will even be released before both DNF and Sol! XD )

EDIT: For these wondering what king of gaming platform an FPGA is, it isn't! :D
An FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip is a grid of transistors, hundreds of thousands of them, which you can organize into wired-logic circuits using both Verilog and VHDL languages. Given their number, you can synthetize one or several CPU on a same chip, so implementing a Super FX engine and a game is more than possible! ;)

Whoa, neat!
Having somewhat recently taken courses in Linear Algebra and a higher level computer science class, this was a very enjoyable read. Thanks for posting this!

Personally I've always liked the idea of trying to port Star Fox to one of those graphing calculators, may get around to that given a couple more years in CS.

I tried to do that in TI Basic but it was too slow. There's always the alternative, assembly... but shoot, it's assembly. Maybe you're up to the task?
