Happy new year to all the team members and the whole community!
I'm sorry we don't have any surprise for you this year.
This month was a rough one for me and things only calmed down just now.
Anyway, looking at the devlopment, I think this was not a good year for us.
Many people, including myself, were very busy and there hardly was a constant flow of progress. More like a few big chunks of progess and then times when nothing happend at all.
But don't worry, things can only get better now.
Even though it means there won't be any screenshots of new content, I'd like to stick to the agenda of the last few months and focus on refining the gameplay first.
There are many missing features and before we continue with the game I'd really like to improve the gameplay and controls.
That will be a hard time for the community, as there won't be many screenshots of new content.
This is only temporary though. "The E", who btw also joined our team, is working on a material system for the engine. That mean we can use custom shaders.
I already have a bunch of ideas. Expect a performance boost and some neat visual improvements. ;)
Also, I hope a friend of mine, who is a pretty good LUA scripter will join the team next year. Together we can tackle tackle the most urgently needed scripts for SoL.
SoL is not dead. Not even close to it. ;)
