FRED Stuff (Spoilers likely)

He is watching YOU
As promised I've had a little poke around to see what there is I can learn from your campaign (I give away over 80% of the cool ideas I think up completely for free so I have to keep looking at everyones stuff to come up with new ones).

Wow there are a lot of pegasi in that last mission! :)

Apart from that I was just wondering if there are any pieces of FREDing you're particularly proud of? Anything you think might be worth including in the FRED Cookbook in my FAQ? I'm thinking of including some of the Transcended One stuff as that was nicely done and pretty freaky too :)

Hmm... that's a difficult question. I'm pretty happy with the way the last mission turned out as a whole, simply because it's far and away the most complicated mission I've done, but as for individual bits of FREDing, I don't really know.

What kind of Transcendant stuff were you thinking of including?

Your use of the fade SEXP, The slo-mo stuff etc.

Your use of those to make the Transcendant one's visions impressed me quite a lot. I speak as someone who has designed but not FREDded a similar mission for MG. I'd planned to do things in a slightly different way but I may borrow the fade effect too now.

Quick question though. Did you ever think of using the get and set position SEXPs to move the Transcendant One instead of using all those ship appearances and disappearances? If not give it a try if you're doing any similar freaky stuff in the future. No one will spot it if you move a pegasus 1000km away so you might find that easier than the way you did it. :)

Thanks, I'll have to remember that.

You have never asked such question from me. :hoppingma :biggrin1:

I hadn't got the Cookbook up and running at that point. :)

If you do have anything I'm happy to hear it :)
