Ultima Cena - Mod introduction
Plot background
The mod takes place in Sol system, 20 years after jump node to Delta Serpentis collapsed.
The old GTA and it's legacy is now over. On the ruins of old Terran empire, Earth Coalition has grown and became the superior power that's now spreading to the newly discovered systems beyond sol, thanks to the new S2 subspace technology.
In the meantime, a rebellion of people who loved the old GTA is rising in Eta Carinae system. And it's only a beginning of deeper story which involves old GTI research from Great War era...
Features:
-Fly FS1 craft!
-Enjoy new ships in classic FS1 style!
-Play action-packed campaign with involving missions and deep storyline in brilliant atmosphere of Descent: FreeSpace
-And expect more details about this project soon!

Wow, the plot is interesting... the number of Reconstruction Era campaigns is very low, and it's always a good thing to have more of them.

Interesting, so we have more jump nodes appearing after the collapse of the node which led to Delta Serpentis? That's interesting.
Well, Eta Carinae is supposed to become a supernova and it won't be long before its explosion...

I don't get it. Earth is cut off, but its power is spreading to other systems...?

I'm kinda surprised no one has tried that sort of campaign before actually.

Y'know I was once thinking about running a campaign where nodes didn't collapse, just shifted...

Are the Lucifer's debris somehow related to the new technology?
Oh, I have another question: was choosing Eta Carinae intentional? That star is mostly known because of its doom (if I remember well, it'll be possible to read books during night when Eta Carinae becomes a supernova), so it's pretty hard to believe that it was randomly chosen. Am I completely wrong about this one?

Actually eta carinae has gone supernova for quite a while now... We are just so far away we can't see it yet (lightspeed restriction)

Well, I didn't know that Eta Carinae is going to become supernova and I didn't consider it while designing the starmap.

from where we stand we could describe the star as in it's agony period: it is recently shaken by "secondary" waves/explosions...
