It's been a long time since I popped by here on SoL. Some might vaguely remember my name attached to the mod known as "Project Kursed" that faded away several years ago. Ever since I detached myself from that I've spent my time learning to make models and work with various game engines. I've deemed my abilities acceptable now to resurrect a Starfox idea I've had for years now.

The goal of this game is to present Starfox in a psudeo-RTS style game. Players will choose their fighter pilots, command a squadron, and customize and upgrade the fighter craft in their squadron. The single player campaign will follow the exploits of Krystal as she leaves the Starfox team and joins the Cornerian Army. The story will unfold with her discovering some secrets of her past, most notably the fate of her homeworld Cerinia as the Cornerian army begins uncovering ruins of her extinct species. Multiplater and Custom battles will allow players to assume the role of several different factions in addition to the Cornerian army, such as Andross' forces and the Aparoids. Players will construct bases, build up an economy, and field armies of ships as they do battle.

I've no release date yet, though I plan on releasing playable demos regularly. As the saying goes, "It's done when it's done."

But I guess it was for the better because you're coming with THIS !
I'm a fanatic of RTS games, so StarFox + RTS = pure winsauce.

Is it a mod from some other game ? Or are you using an engine to build up everything ?

It is a bit unfortunate PK ended up going under, though many of the things I threw into that are going to show up in this. The problem was mostly that no one was doing their part and thus nothing was getting done, and whenever I'd go out of my way to do something like make a 3D model the actual 3D modelers would get upset and say it's not the right style, it's their job, etc etc.

Technically it could be considered a mod, though the engine is prepping to go standalone and open source. More information on it can be found here: http://www.fleetops.net/home.html
If you like RTS's I actually highly recommend trying Fleet Operations, as well as my other RTS I made: http://www.moddb.com/mods/sigma . Might give some insight into how the Starfox one will look and feel.

On another note, is it possible to hide an image on these forums in spoiler wraps so they don't take up lots of space on the thread? Until then forgive me for the pictures stretching out the page.... :nervous:

I'll try that out when I can, I have plenty of time. But first I'm currently downloading Hyrule Total War. I love that series too, and you did a nice job with that, from what I seen in the videos.
Edit: I played it, but could only make a quick battle Hylian vs Gerudo. When I click on Custom Battle, the game just crashes. :/

Oh btw, I'll reiterate the proposition I make for every SF fangame: I can take care of English->French translation if you eventually make one.

Oh and Fay is better w/o the glasses :)

Technical problems with Hyrule: Total War should probably be brought up on the Total War forums (I'll give you a link if you've not found it already.) No harm in asking though.... did you install the Kingdoms expansion pack first? :nervous:

Back on off-topic, yeah I did install Kingdoms.
But don't worry, it worked after all, though it's a little bugged. I also want to let you know that when you are looking from afar, the troops turn back to regular Medieval II troops. You probably already know that but I tell you just in case. And nah I don't want to sign up on another forum, so I'll stop talking about Hyrule Total War at once.

Back on topic now, Krystal's model is pretty nice here, I was not so convinced at first when seeing the video, but it looks good after all.

Also, what is Hyrule total war? Is it like Baldur's gate 1 or diablo?
