It's easy! Use Hamachi to play lan games over internet!

#1 Download Hamachi
#2 Connect with servername & password
#3 Add game launcher's Hamachi IP in multiplayer options
#4 Play Lan over Ip!
#5 If the server is full, make a new server and post the data here.

nice idea, btw post also the configuration of fs2 on server ( if it use media vp and which version and what version of fs2 open executable it use )
 
Yeah, but this shouldn't be a problem. Anyone in Hamachi can launch a langame, so it's up to you which game and version you want to play.

Anyway it would be good if you could provide a downloadlink to the newest files.

But first, just join the network!

hey guys i havent played FS2 online for ages, i can host games, i live in australia and can host games anytime, if u want me to host a game send me a pm of the time in any format eg: PST,EST etc (i'll convert) and we'll meet up on hamachi and we go from there :)
 
I have one problem. If I select LAN game in Launcher and I am connected to internet at the same time, it tells me: "You have indicated that you use a LAN for networking. You also apperar to be dialed into your ISP. Please disconnect from your service provider or choose" when i click on that big brown door. If I select dialup networking in Launcher, i cant see any LAN games. I had this problem on every build or launcher. I tried many games through Hamachi and they worked. Anyone had the same problem and knows solution how to join Hamachi game? help pls

I use fs2_open_3_6_9 build and launcher 5.4:lol: should I mantis it?

Check it already isn't. If so add it.

I could swear I saw a fix to this commited a while back though.
 
Yes I reported this before 3 weeks but noone knows solution and the bug was deleted. Should I mantis it again?
 
It was deleted cause it was fixed :)

If you unfilter resolved bugs you'll find it. :)

It should be gone in 3.6.9 RC 4
 
Now this is interesting. It appears as if Taylor said that he didn't know what to do about that on the 19th but on the 27th this appears in CVS.

You could try reopening the bug mentioning this commit cause it looks like it didn't work.
 
Hey silverado, could you please evict the account 5.51.151.58 from your network?
I was trying out this Hamachi thingy for the first time, and managed to create a duplicate account :rolleyes:
