Model and texture are rather simple. I know that is a good thing for missiles, but it's a bad thing for showing óff your skills...

Sure, but (I don't won't to write it like that...) we need to know if you're good enough for the team.
Jonathan and Omniscraper are very talented modders.
Axem just proved to be a great upcomming modder too.
So we've only use for talented people. I'm pretty sure you are talented, but I rather like to be 100% sure.
In advance we'll give you some models that suit you skills and your style, so it's really important for us to get a good sample.

Nice one. Now this is what I wanted to see.
But there are some things I should mention:
The FS2 Engine performs better with UV maps. The more tiles you use, the slower your model will peform.
Second, the textures are a bit too simple.
I hope some of the teams pro modders take a look at this. I only know the basics of meshes.

ill agree with u there that the textures are basic, but what else is there to put on an arwing than the logos and a greyish tint?
Edit: wait, is 900 triangles too big?! good lord!!! i didnt think Freespace was that old!!!

FS2 is pretty damn old. FS2_Open on the other hand would laugh at a 900 poly fighter model. ~2000-3000 for a fighter model should be fine.
Number of textures is a much bigger slowdown than number of polys.

900 triangles isn’t a problem, especially since the SCP team implemented HT&L. Some of the ships I fly in game are over 2K. There are however some other problems with your model. For example the wings on your Arwing go right through the main body of your model rather than merge with it. IIRC Freespace 2 does not react very well to models that do that, unless they are set as sub objects.

okay, so would u like me to remove these hidden faces/triangles then? I didnt know whether or not i should but if u want me to i can... Um, keep in mind its just a model, nothing special yet.. And its good that freespace can take up to 2000 polys, b/c most of my models comin at round 1630 polys

Hello again.
Sorry to say our Wolfen I isn't done yet. The model is pretty much done, but mapping and texturing is how far its at right now, no idea when it'll be done though. Plus I don't know our policy on releasing models before any mod releases.

Well, it's more the UV map is super-unefficent. But I think the model isn't HTL-ish enough to keep up with the other models, so we should think about redoing it from the scratch.
I think we could share our content. We need a bunch of models too.

It would be better to do this through PMs than in the public forums.

You don't mind the Wolfen isn't very good UV mapped?
