What if Starfox64 was Re made?

Ace texture replacer
I've been thinking a lot lately as i've been making my texture hack. What if Nintendo decided to REMAKE starfox64. and NO i do not mean that piece of crap port that they did to the wii that didn't even up the size of the textures, i mean full blown re-model re think and re design the game. with elements like the ability to unlock all of the different arwings for use in multiplayer and single player modes, and include more modern elements to the gameplay itself. anyone else have any ideas? i know that remakes aren't the best things in the world, but only changing a few things SLIGHTLY could actually bring this series back to life in my opinion :doubtful:

Well, in my opinion, they should keep the original voice acting even if they remade the game.
And having all sorts of ships that actually were in the game avaylable in multiplayer would be interesting. Say, would'nt you just LOVE to kick your less-skilled Friends's butts using the amazingly slow and fragile Invader I while they pilot the very fast death machine that is the arwing? :P

I'd really like that!
Having a shiny SF64 with polished game mechanincs and I'd buy that... twice! :P

If it was remade, they could add more story. Keep it the same of course, but add more to it.
Also redefine he lylat system: Sauria, planet locations ect.

More story why not...

Keep or find back the former voice actors.

Keep the same planets, maybe extent the missions but preserve the known parts.

Preserve score system.

Preserve the overall design, just improve graphics.

Maybe add some sort of survival mode?

I still think that being able to unlock all of the arwings from the other games would be a great addition to the game. of course you'd start off with the original 64 arwing, but i thought that a great ship select thing would be to use the title screen. like how the arwing is rotating in the back if you move the control stick to the right or left, it would change the ship. and yes extending the levels would be a really cool addition to the game. and i also agree with the whole find the original actors :D

Why find the original actors. You could just reuse the original voice clips from the game. -.-

because some of the script would obviously need to be altered if they were to add some elements to the game. using the old samples wouldn't sound very good compared to today's standards either. so re-sampling them would work best in a remake.

@ Flammenwerfer
Dick VanDyke is old, he still sounds the same as he did in chitty chitty bang bang so many years ago XD

... also StarFox was going to be remade but they ended up with Comma----- erm that fan-fiction gone to pubic gaming somehow ):<

The idea of a 64 remake would be nice, but I'd like to see Star Fox 2 released complete on the virtual console first. If 64 was remade though I would like the missions to be a little longer, and the enemies seem more menacing. Andross on the red path seemed hard at first, but after a while I figured out the pattern and beat him every time. I'd just like better AI in general.

2 "to be" verbs how am I going to get a 120 on this paper. (English Comp essay never mind)

To be honest, i'd prefer a remake of Starfox64 over a VC release of Starfox2. I've played it and to be honest i didn't really like the games mechanics. i really don't like the Free roam idea in the starfox world. That and i never have any wii points anyway :doubtful: although this is JUST my opinion, i'm not saying it was a bad game.

Star Fox 2 can't be released on virtual console because virtual console doesn't support the Super FX chip.

I played Star Fox 2 on the Wii with the snes9x emulator. (I modded it on, of course.)
I'm sure if some guy that made the emulator by himself can manege that, the Wii can do the same. If Nintendo said what you just said, they're just full of bs
