The Next Year

MarekMcCloud

Land of disappointment
Well, its a new (business) year and its going to get cold soon. I hope the Sol team the best of luck getting things together with the Sol Project and I just want to let you guys know that I haven't given up on you yet.

Good luck and I hope you guys had a great summer!

;)

why dont you try to receive donations to speed things up?

I would pay 50$

Because they said they would make the game for free and if they would get money for it Nintendo could take them to court for stealing their property, in this case the Star Fox TM or how it is called.

And anyways, money wouldn't make them faster in programming it, because they are already using as much time from their free time as they can (at least I hope so biggrin).

I hope this answered your question.

I don't know for sure if they could or could not suffer legal consequences if they did accept monetary donations. I've always thought donations were different than things like purchasing or investing. You donate because you want something you are in favor of to go through, not because you want to contribute to a business' income. If SoL did recieve a donation, none of it would go into the member's pockets, but towards finishing the project. I don't see how Nintendo would be upset about that.

The words 'skating', 'thin ice' and 'hot blades' spring to mind when it comes to donations. SabreWolferos pretty much nailed it - Nintendo would have very easy grounds to shut down the project if donations were to be accepted.
